If the Outlook 2007 spell checker is turned on but if it is not finding spelling errors, then this registry fix can correct the problem.
The problem is: if you type a message with obvious spelling errors and click "check spelling" button or click "send" button to run auto spellcheck, it will you the message "spelling check is complete" without finding any spelling mistakes.
Go to Start>> Run >> type regedit >> press enter
Then go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0\Override\en-US
2 entries (DLL and LEX) pointing to non-existing files
Rename these to oldDLL and oldLEX.
Reboot the computer. Spell check will work in both outlook and word.
